Submission Process

Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the Submission Page which will be available on 2 August 2024. Please ensure that abstracts adhere to the specified formatting guidelines and languages. Submissions will undergo expert review, and acceptance notifications will be sent by 1 April 2025.

Step 2: Submit your Abstract
Fill in author and abstract information and save.

Step 3: Abstract Submission Acknowledgement
After the abstract submission, an abstract submission acknowledgement will be sent to you via your registered email.

Step 4: Pay Later
No immediate payment required. Payment from first/presenting author's registration has to be cleared ON or BEFORE 15 May 2025 in order for your abstract(s) to qualify for presentation during the conference.

General Guidelines

Please note that you will be required to review and agree to the submission guidelines prior to the completed submission of your abstract.

Abstract must be written in the English language in all parts including title, abstract text, names of the authors, affiliations, table, figure and graph.

Abstract should contain original material that has neither been published nor presented at another international meeting at the time of submission, and/or before the APETNA 2025. However, abstracts submitted to, or presented at, local and national meetings may be submitted.

All original research must be approved by a relevant research ethical committee and the approval should be mentioned in the abstract text. It is the authors' responsibility to review, proofread and approve their submissions for format, form and language before the submission deadline.

Abstract Content

  1. Category: Please select the category which BEST describes the content of your abstract. Categories are used for reviewing and indexing purposes.
     
  2. Presentation Preference: Participants may select the option for oral or poster presentation. However, the Scientific Programme Committee reserves the right to re-categorise any accepted abstract.
     
  3. Abstract Title: The title is limited to 120 characters excluding spaces and should be brief and relevant. Capitalise each word in the title. Special characters should NOT be used in your title but spelt out instead (e.g. α should be written as alpha, β as beta). Only use standard abbreviations and generic drug names in the title.
     
  4. Authors and Affiliations: The first author listed must be the Presenting/Attending Author. Type the authors’ names according to the format and example given. When more than one author is listed, use numbers to match authors and institutions. Capitalise words only as required.
     
  5. Abstract body:
  • Structure: The abstract should have the following sub-headings except for case report and case series.
    • Introduction
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion
  • Layout: Please fill in according to the sections provided. Do not include graphs, tables or illustrations in the abstract.
  • Word count: The abstract should not exceed 300 words (including section headings i.e. Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusion.)
  • Only approved and generic (non-proprietary) drug names should be used.
  • Do NOT enter the title, authors, or grant information into the abstract body submission field.
  • Please indicate your abstract categories as per the following:

    • Research
    • Innovation in ETN
    • Education
    • Palliative

6. Editing

  • Authors are allowed to edit each submitted abstract until the submission deadline.
  • Abstracts will not be edited and proofread by the committee.

Miscellaneous

  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to make the final decision about the abstract acceptance and its scheduling into the program based on topics and time constraints.
  • There are two categories of presentations available – oral and e-poster. As presentation slots are limited, some abstracts may be reallocated to different formats.
  • Each abstract submission must indicate whether the material was published or presented in any prior congresses.
  • All presenters must register to attend the congress by 15 May 2025 and be present at the time of congress.
  • Certificate of Appreciation will be granted to all the presenters to honour their presentations.
