Dr. Yuwadee Kestsumpun is a respected nurse leader and specialist in wound, ostomy, and continence care. She currently serves as President of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Association of Thailand, where she leads national efforts in clinical advancement, education, and research. Dr. Kestsumpun completed her professional training in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, USA, and earned her Ph.D. in Nursing from Deakin University in Australia, where her dissertation, Living with Cancer: An Ethnographic Study of Thai Cancer Patients, highlights her commitment to patient-centered care.
She is also the founder of a specialized wound and ostomy clinic in Thailand, integrating advanced practice and digital innovation to improve patient outcomes. In her leadership role, Dr. Kestsumpun plays a vital part in protecting consumer groups by issuing national guidelines on the use of medical products that may impact care quality and patient quality of life—ensuring that policy decisions are grounded in both clinical evidence and patient advocacy.
